The Eaton Area Joint Planning Commission is an intergovernmental planning agency established pursuant to the Michigan Joint Municipal Planning Act by agreement among seven participating townships within Eaton County, Michigan.

Participating Communities:

  • Bellevue
  • Brookfield
  • Chester
  • Kalamo
  • Sunfield
  • Vermontville
  • Walton

The acronym ‘EAJPC’ is the official abbreviation used by the Commission and participating municipalities.

7/28/2026 Planning Commission Hearing Notice

Please take notice that the Eaton Area Joint Planning Commission shall meet at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28th. Meetings of the Eaton Area Joint Planning Commission will be held in the basement of 551 Courthouse Dr, Charlotte, MI 48813.

Materials or public comments for planning commission meetings can be submitted at the Eaton Area Joint Planning Commission Offices, located at 551 Courthouse Dr, Ste. 1, Charlotte, MI 48813, or via email to zoning@eatonareajpcmi.gov.
